When a manuscript is accepted for publication, Authentic Creations immediately notifies the author by telephone and provides the author with a copy of the publisher's contract. After the author has a chance to review the contract, we discuss the terms of the contract, describe provisions in the contract which might be modified to further enhance the author's career goals, and answer any questions the author might have about the contact's specific language. These discussions are not meant to replace an in-depth review by the author's attorney, but to provide a level of comfort for the author in understanding the rather complex phrasing used in intellectual property contracts.
